ladies in saris. jackson heights. on Flickr. The area surrounding 74th Street in Jackson Heights is a neighborhood that has a very strong South Asian presence. Indians, Pakistanis, and Bangladeshis all live in this neighborhood which has amazing Indian food, sari shops, jewelry stores with fine gold, and the Patel Brothers supermarket chain. These women were walking home from the market, with the daughter walking a few steps ahead of the mother.
