A couple of weekends ago, my boyfriend and I went to Bleecker Bob’s in the Village for what could have been the last time we set foot in the mecca of record stores. The legendary record store is set to close early this year.

Dynasty Electric also played a set and they were absolutely amazing! The singer, Jenny Electrik has TONS of energy and an amazing stage presence, not to mention a great voice, too.

I’ve know Demetra for years. When I met her, she was a pop-punk princess in a band of her namesake. I went to a bunch of shows in the city, at Trash Bar in Brooklyn - they were great. Eventually, that dissolved and she started a new dance-electro project and has also become a renowned host in the underground electro scene. This past Wednesday night, she hosted SFX at R-Bar and after Melody Joy’s set, she got up on stage and performed her two singles at intermission.
