The Zoo Center at the Bronx Zoo was once known as the Elephant House. Many of the buildings at this part of the zoo are in the same style and have been converted to either administrative or visitor use.

I’ve always loved the art and architecture at Rockefeller Center - it’s a Deco wonderland!

One of my favorite places in the city is the Metropolitan Museum. I was long overdue for a visit, and had a day off, so I decided to go. Every single time I go, I discover something new.

Another shot from the front of the New York Public Library. Quite possibly one of the most gorgeous buildings in the city. During lunch hour, you can normally see people sitting on the steps reading or reflecting.

Speaking of the property, the latest on the fate of the site is that Two Trees Development is buying it for $185 million. Two Trees is the development company that literally built up DUMBO from the ground up.

The Brooklyn Bridge is probably the quintessential NYC bridge, and quite possibly the most iconic. The other night when I was downtown, I chose to take the East River Ferry over to Long Island City before hopping on the 7 back to Woodside. It was a hot early summer night, and the views that you catch are absolutely amazing.
