Bridal window, 7th Avenue, Park Slope on Flickr. On July 24th, it became legal for same-sex couples to get married in New York State. For many of my friends who have been in domestic partnerships for years, this was a long time coming. Park Slope has always been a liberal and LGBT friendly zone, so it’s no surprise that a bridal shop along the Seventh Avenue drag (no pun intended) would join the festivities.

happy couple at the seaport. on Flickr.Lower Manhattan still has that “old New York” feel, with its cobblestone streets and old storefronts, it provides a perfect backdrop to any scene. This past Sunday, over by the South Street Seaport, I stumbled upon this “just married” couple in the midst of their wedding photoshoot. One thing that I’ve been marketing myself toward is “behind the scenes” shoots for events, purely documenting the event, capturing moments that are often overlooked by the main photographer and guests.
