If you are looking for bargains, downtown Jamaica is the place to go. Discount stores are scattered one after the other along Jamaica Avenue. This area is the center of community and culture for the African American community in Queens. If you ever go on a Sunday to the area, you will see quite a few people dressed in their Sunday best.
